Katihar: The process of selecting the Panchayat in four blocks of the cursela, Katihar, Hutaaj and Dandkhora in the district begins by submitting a nomination paper on Tuesday.
Katihar has 90 polling booths.
Judge District (DM) Udayan Mishra said all arrangements have been made to conduct free and fair polls in this district.
“Evms are ready.
Vote counting will be conducted centrally at the district headquarters.
The strong room and the calculation center is being prepared in Samiti Bazaar,” he said.
“The ballot box that will be used for the post-Sarpanch and Panchel election has been painted.
Training of voting staff is underway , “he said.
Katihar has 51,879 voters, including 26,523 men, 25,348 women and 8 others.
Chancela has 29,685 voters, including 15,251 men.
Similraly has 43,534 voters and six belongs to other categories.
