Kolkata: Bikers, FLLOUTING COVID norms or traffic rules, are no longer limited to rush hour.
The number of two wheels breaking the night limitation, with the streets of Post City 11:00, have seen a significant increase this weekend.
Traffic guards throughout the city said that since the best four wheels consistently flipped through night limitations.
“This weekend, everything has changed dramatically.
In areas that fall on the outskirts of the city and the added area – even the parts of the central kolkata – the number two wheels that violate night limitation are 30% more than four wheels.
In some pockets , almost double the number of four wheels, “said an officer in Lalbazar.
In the East Guard area – consisting of the area between Loudon Street, Park Circus and Ballygunge – from 122 prosecutions, more than 60% are two-wheeled riders.
At Ultangga Guard, 19 of 34 which are required are two-wheeled riders.
Overall, the Kolkata traffic police have demanded 511 people to cancel the night limitation on Saturday night in a drive which only lasts one hour.
Until noon on Sunday, the local police ended demanding 266 people.
Police said some motorists and bikers were even charged not to wear masks or spit on the road.
But again, the East and South traffic guards ended with the highest number of prosecutions.
Of the 180 riders checked within one hour – between 11 nights and midnight – police found 122 of them violated the norm.
