Ghaziabad: With 1,626 new infections, the number of Covid active cases in Gautam Budh Nagar crossed 10,000 marks on Thursday.

In neighboring Ghaziabad, 1,680 new Covid cases were recorded that day, which pushed the active figure calculated to 9,179.
While 14,765 new cases were reported across the country in the last 24 hours, active cases jumped to 71,022.
The official state bulletin indicates that GB Nagar and Lucknow contributed to the maximum load of active cases with more than 10,000 infections such as each, followed by Ghaziabad.
Together with Meerut, four districts contributed 54% of the total active case burden in the state, the data shown.
Data testing analysis for the past month showed the level of the RT-PCR test sample in GB Nagar increased from 0.5% at 15 to 36.3% on January 11.
The overall positive level (PCR RESS and antigen tests) increased from 0.1% at 15 to 26.7% on January 11.

So far, 31 patients were received in various hospitals in Ghaziabad, while around 80 others were hospitalized throughout Noida.
More than 100 patients from other districts are also being recognized at 16 private hospitals in the Trans-Hindon region.

RK Gupta said he had looked for reports of patients from hospitals.
