LONDON: The number of documinous migrants who reach the UK on small ships this year has exceeded a total of 2020, because of the smuggling of people utilizing good weather to cross the English channel from France.
On Tuesday, at least 8,452 migrants had landed on the England coast in 2021.
Compared to 8,417 people across the channel last year, according to data compiled by the UK Press Association.
The British government worked with the authorities in France to increase the number of police patrolling the coast of France for the second time in a year to try and stop migrants from making intersections.
The UK will provide 54 million pounds ($ 73 million) to support French efforts.
Meet the number of police, and invest in technology, will “help stem the flow of people who try to make a very dangerous intersection,” Protecting Minister Victoria Atkins to the BBC.
