Wellington: The Covid-19 New Zealand outbreak jumped to 21 cases on Thursday, but the authorities said the virus might not be in the community as long as they connected their origin to Sydney Returnee recently.
There were 11 new cases in the last 24 hours, Jacinda Ardern Prime Minister and Head of Health Ashley Bloomfield said at a press conference.
Ardern said the sequencing of the genome revealed positive cases at this time was a match that was close to the return from Sydney who arrived by flight on August 7.
