Bhubaneswar: In the first main examination carried out by the state government during a pandemic, more than 15,000 students appeared for the offline class X council exam at 504 centers in the entire state on Friday.
They are among students who are not happy with their class X results published through an alternative assessment system and want to appear for physical examination.
The exam will continue until 5.
August students appear for examination following Covid guidelines such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance in the center.
No one was allowed to carry a cellphone in the exam center.
The students underwent thermal scans before entering the room.
Minister of Education and Massa Samir Ranjan Dash said the exam was done smoothly.
“All safety steps are taken to ensure children’s security and exam centers have been asked to follow standard operating procedures closely until the end of the exam,” Dash said.
Because of the surge in Covid cases, the state government has canceled the examination of the class X conducted by the Secondary Education Council (BSE), Odisha, and then signed students based on alternative assessments developed by the Board.
The results of the X class X exam was announced on June 25.
However, many students are not happy with the results they get and demand a sign revaluation.
The board refused and asked them to appear for offline exams.
