The Odisha government increases the salaries of junior teachers by 50%

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to increase the salaries of junior teachers (contracts and permanent) engaged in government elementary school by 50 percent.

According to the minister’s office, the decision has been carried out with the effect of January 1, 2022.

Now after the decision, the salary of the contractual junior teacher has now increased from Rs 7,400 to Rs 11,000.
Likewise, the salaries of permanent junior teachers also increased from Rs 9,200 to Rs 13,800.

According to the decision, 33,038 junior teachers including 13,324 contracts and 19,714 permanent junior teachers will benefit from this increase.
The state government will spend RS 168 Crore every year on this matter.
