Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to start the process of referring to 11,450 school teachers soon.
“Promise will help reduce the empty position in high school,” said Minister of Education and Mass Samir Ranjan Dash.
In accordance with the direction of the state government, the appointment process for empty teaching posts in secondary school will be carried out gradually and notifications in this case will be immediately issued, added Dash.
The Minister told that in the first phase of 4,619 teaching positions would be filled, including 2,055 for Hindi teachers, 1304 for Sanskrit and 1260 physical education posts.
Notifications and advertisements issued on August 23.
In the second stage of 6,065 trained postgraduate teachers (TGT) language teachers and Telugu language will be given appointments and in the third stage 940 new posts made for TGTS, classical teachers and Hindi will be appointed.
The ad application for this post will soon be issued, the official source said.
There are vacancies for nearly 14,000 teachers in government and high school assisted while vacancies in elementary school are around 21,000.
