Bhubaneshwar: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited applications for recruitment to 1871 post medical officers (assistant surgeons) in groups (junior branches) from Odisha medical and health cadres.
Chosen candidates will be appointed in different government hospitals throughout the state.
Links for registration / re-registration online and payment of online exam fees will be available on the OPSC website from November 12 to December 13.
Submission of online registered applications can be done on the website from 12 November to 20 December.
According to the request submitted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, only 196 (65 for women) of 1871 posts have been reserved for the general category (unreserved).
Similarly, 114 posts were sealed for the SEBC category, 576 posts for SC, and 985 posts for the St.
Regardless of age relaxation for the ordered category, a candidate must reach the age of 21 and may not be above the age of 32 years on January 1, 2021.
The candidates must have a MBBS or equal degree of medical colleges or medical institutions recognized by the Board Indian medical.
The selection of candidates for recruitment to medical officer (assistant surgeon) will be decided based on a written test.
Written inspection will consist of one paper 200 mark (multiple choice question patterns).
There will be no negative sign for the wrong answer in the test for three hours.
Written checks will be carried out in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
Requests for changes in the inspection center will not be entertained.
Certificate of receipt to written examination to the eligible candidate will be uploaded on the OPSC website before the written exam date, the OPSC source said.
“After joining medical officers, the number of doctors will increase in government hospitals and will improve patient care services in this hospital,” said an official of the health welfare and family department.
