The Taliban website which delivered an official message of rebels who won to Afghanistan and the world in five languages turned offline suddenly on Friday, showing an effort to put out them.
However, it is not clear, why sites in Pashto, Urdu, Arabic, English, and from offline.
They have been protected by CloudFlare, US-based content delivery network and plan provider of plans for plans.
CloudFlare hasn’t responded to a comment request.
CloudFlare Shield prevents the public to know the host of the site.
Also Friday, WhatsApp removed a number of Taliban groups, according to Rita Katz, director of the site intelligence group, which tracked online extremism.
The loss of the website is only temporary because the Taliban secured new hosting settings.
But the elimination of the WHATSAPP group reported following the ban on the Taliban account by Facebook, a service holding company, on Tuesday after the US-supported Afghan government fell to the Taliban.
WhatsApp spokesman Danielle Meister did not confirm the removal but referred to a company statement issued this week by saying that “must comply with the law of US sanctions.
This includes prohibiting Taliban accounts.” Katz said he hoped the removal of the Taliban site was just the first step to reduce his online presence.
“Today’s Taliban understands the media and online infrastructure” mobilizes “al-Qaida and other extremist factions,” he said.
