The old city miss Hyd Metro to restore life to its track

Hyderabad: When Hyderabad Metro was launched from Miyapur in November 2017, most of the spectators came from the old city who had traveled from as far as Chandrayangutta, Rethibowli and Sultan Bazaar to watch a new wheel set on the track.
For many people who turned home after launch, as if the old city had been abandoned in the past on the platform while the rest of Hyderabad was on his way to the future.
“I remember seeing the metro and felt that people from the old city had missed the bus.
Even though the locals initially opposed it, when the metro began everyone wanted it because they could see the benefits,” Abu Bakr said, a student from Golconda.
But starting 2008 when proposed, Hyderabad Metro faced a lot of anxiety even before it could reach the track.
The opposition from the locals and traders in the Old City is the biggest obstacle, because many are feared to lose property and religious structure.
After several meetings, the opposition from the Sultan Bazaar trader was handled and a plan was launched with a resolution settlement.
However, stretching 5.5 km from MGBS to Falaknuma through Dar-ul-Shifa, ashoorkhana, bathing road still remains on paper.
“…
Many initially opposed it was ready to hand over property.
But now there is no clarity of the project,” said Mohammad Zubair Ali, a blogger from Charminar.
The Metro source also revealed that the old city plan was uncertain.
“L & T clearly said that with so many losses, they were not interested in completing the project.
The government works on alternatives.
But until now the fate of the MGBS-Falaknuma route depends on the balance,” the source is close to the problem.
