The opening of the metro gray extension is suspended

New Delhi: The opening of the Najafgarh-Dhansa bus extension from the Gray Line of Metro Delhi has been postponed for about two weeks due to problems with the road approach to the station, officials said on Wednesday.
The extension line is scheduled to be inaugurated on August 6 along with the pink line segment in Trilokpuri by Union Minister of Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi Chair, Arvinw Kejriwal.
Sources in the Delhi Department of Transportation said the road conditions approach to the Dhansa bus station metro station “and even inaccessible to the public” especially become a motorbike.

Some of the vital road connect connecting Khaira Mor with Gopal Nagar must be blocked for heavy vehicles because of construction work in the reversal facilities outside the Dhansa Bus Station Station.
However, after the completion of the tunneling work in the reversing area, the road is now being restored and will soon be ready which will facilitate easy access to the station from various interior areas outside Najafgarh, DMRC said.

Meanwhile, the inauguration of the trilokpuri part in the pink line will be held on Friday as previously announced, a DMRC spokesman said.
Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Head of the Minister of Delhi are scheduled to open two parts through video conferencing, DMRC says on Sunday.
While the inauguration function will be held online in the morning on August 6, passenger services will begin on the same day at 3 pm in both parts, he said.
But, because the gray line extension has been suspended, only the pink line will be opened to the public.
The Najafgarh-Dhanya bus holder, almost one kilometer (891 m) will take the Metro further into the Najafgarh interior area.
This extension of the gray line of 4.2 km (Dwarka-Najafgarh Corridor) will greatly benefit the residents of the interior area around Najafgarh, who explored history.

The opening of the trilokpuri section, around 289 m, between Lake Mayur Pocket 1 and Trilokpuri Sanjay station, will fully connect the entire 59 km of the pink line and will connect important city landmarks, such as Anand Vihar Train Station, Anand Vihar Isbt, Railway Station Nizamuddin, the market in South Extension, INA and Lajpat Nagar, officials said.
Corridor Majlis Park-Shiv Vihar or pink line covers 38 stations.
