New Delhi: Delhi police have arrested a man and his wife from Bihar in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old young man in the national capital who had an affair with him, officials said on Wednesday.
According to the police, on June 26, the Narella Industrial Area Police Station received a report missing Raj Kumar, a resident of Holambi Khurd.
The police contacted a complain which said that his son had disappeared since June 25 when he went to a factory in Sector-5, Bawana, where he worked as a laborer, a senior police officer said.
Kumar family members were taken to Samaipur Badli and Kat and Katju Marg Police Stations and photographs of various unknown corpses were shown to them.
They identified his body stored in a BSA hospital, the officer said.
“During the investigation, with the help of technical supervision, the police reached Vaishali in Bihar and traced the defendant’s woman in its place of origin.
He was arrested along with her husband on Saturday,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (outside northern) said Rajiv Ranjan Singh.
The interrogation revealed that the woman had an affair with Kumar.
On June 25, after consuming alcohol, Kumar reached his house where her husband was also present, police said.
They have several arguments that are heated with Kumar, after her husband killed her, throw her body in Channel Munak and both left their homes on the same day.
The woman claimed her involvement in a crime together with her husband, DCP said.
