The pakistani covid-19 vaccination rate remains ‘very slow’

Islamabad: Pakistan has been vaccinated by around five percent of the total population and 10 percent of those who meet the requirements with at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
However, it still remains one of the low ranking countries where the vaccination rate remains very slow.
According to Dawn, the Federation Unit data shows that 35 percent of the eligible population has been vaccinated in Islamabad while only 3 percent of people choose vaccinations in Balochistan Province.
Experts believe that lack of education, misunderstandings, vaccine doubts and propaganda are the grounds behind a slow vaccination rate.
The majority of people want to be invested near their residence and long waiting time has made them leave.
Meanwhile, 25 percent of the global population has been vaccinated, including 40 percent in Turkey, 50 percent in the United States and 65 percent in Israel and the UK accepted at least one shot.
According to documents available with Fajar, there are more than 125 million people (over 18 years old) who are eligible for vaccination in Pakistan.
So far, more than 20.9 million people have registered for vaccinations in this country.
More than two million people have been fully vaccinated in Punjab, one million in Sindh, 460,000 in Khyber P, 200,000 in Islamabad, 150,000 in Kashmir occupied by Pakistan and each of the 60,000 in Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Professor Microbiologist Dr.
Javed Usman, when talking to Fajar, agreed that there were more reluctance in Pakistan against vaccination.
“The majority of people answered that they would be sick, their DNA would change, they would contract Covid-19.
One of the postgraduate students, who conducted a survey of Graduate Females, told me that the majority of women said that the vaccine would do so as infertility reasons And others say that they can die because of vaccines, “he said.
Deputy Chancellor of Health University Dr.
Javed Akram said that the level of education and doubt vaccine was the main problem of Pakistan.
According to national command data and the operation center (NCOC), 40 deaths and 1,037 new cases were reported on Thursday.
There were 31,767 active cases, while 2,102 patients had been hospitalized.
