New Delhi: Pakistani Junior Hockey Team arrived in India on Saturday to participate in the Junior Hockey World Cup held in Bhubaneswar from November 24 to December 5, the Pakistani High Commission said.
Aftab Hasan Khan, the allegations of the Affaires at the High Commission extended a warm welcome to the Hockey team, he said in a statement.
It was said by a senior high commission diplomat to accept team members at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The visit of the Pakistani Hockey team to India came a few days after New Delhi decided to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib corridor.
“Aftab Hasan Khan, the accusation of D ‘Affaires, a high commission for Pakistan extends a warm welcome to the Pakistani Junior Hockey team who visited India to participate in the Junior Hockey World Cup,” Pakistani High Commission said.
It was said that the accusation of D ‘Affaires also held lunch to honor the Hockey team at the Chancellor Building of the High Commission.
“Speaking on that occasion, the accusation of D ‘Affaires extended his best hopes for the Junior Pakistani hockey team for their success during the Hockey World Cup,” said the High Commission.
By stating that Hockey is Pakistani national sports, he hopes the players will appear with great enthusiasm and the best of their abilities, he said.
“Head coach, member of team management and players appreciate the hospitality of the Pakistani High Commission during transit in Delhi on the way to Bhubaneswar.
They are fully prepared and eager to provide the best during the match,” said the High Commission.
The bond between the two countries significantly scattered after India announced in August 2019 its decision to attract the special power of Jammu and Kashmir and BiFurcate the country into two union regions.
Pakistan has made a joint effort to internationalize Kashmir’s problem.
India has told Pakistan that he wants a normal relationship with Islamabad in a free environment of terror, hostility and violence.
