Yangon: Closed Military Court in Myanmar has sentenced a member of Parliament from the National Party Aung San Suu Kyi for the Democratic Party (NLD) and a leading democratic activist to death, Al Jazeera reported on Saturday.
Phyo Zeyar melting NLD, who was arrested in November, was sentenced to death due to violations based on the country’s counterterrorism law, the media outlet quoted the statement from the general reported.
Leading Democracy Activist Kyaw Min Yu, better known as Jimmy, was given the same sentence, the statement was added.

The coup encouraged mass protests and civil disobedience movements, and thousands had been arrested in military efforts to take action against differences.
