Gurgaon: Toddler died after he was hit by a bus while crossing the road with his father in sector 57 on Tuesday.
The family accused that the bus belonged to a private school in the city.
Rahul Bansal (24), the father of two and half-year-old Purab, and his wife Jyoti (20) had moved to the city for several months from Pipriya Chhakka, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday to find a better life and more opportunities.
His brother Ganesh, a bet every day, has found it working at the construction site.
Rahul and his family lived with him at the nearest Jhuggi.
On Tuesday, Purab, who was present at the construction site too, asked Rahul to take him to a small shop across the street to eat Golgappas.
While they crossed the road, Rahul said the yellow bus came to them and hit his son.
The vehicle, he accused, was “driven by carelessly”.
Ganesh, who worked on the same site, said he was on the terrace when he heard you urged crying.
When he reached the point of the accident, he found the crowd gathered.
The brothers rushed Purab to the nearest hospital, where he died during treatment.
On the basis of Rahul’s complaint, a FIR was submitted on Wednesday at the Sector 56 police station under the IPC 279 section (driving rash or driving in a public way) and 304-A (causing death due to negligence).
The bus driver, who escaped from the place, has not been identified.
“We scan the recording of a CCTV camera installed nearby to identify him,” said Benek Subhash Police spokesman.
Rahul and his family now return to Madhya Pradesh.
Ganesh told Tii: “He and Jyoti were destroyed.
Rahul always wants Purab to have a bright and optimistic future he will be able to give him a better life, but the big city has swallowed his son.”
