Chennai: Southern Railway has opened a photo exhibition at Mgr Chennai Central Railway Station which exhibited the achievement of a business development unit established to increase transport traffic.
This exhibition is open until Sunday.
Gallery highlights the various streams of new items carried by the train including heavy machinery and cars from Walajabad, rice from Doravari Chatram, chemical fertilizers from Ranipet, black carbon and edible oil from Royapuram and others.
Cargo train express packages are also displayed.
The Chennai division produces an additional income of Rs 39 Crore from this initiative which includes capturing new traffic.
