Police in Los Angeles, California, pulled the pilot from Cessna landed a few seconds before the plane was hit by a train on Sunday, sent debris in all directions.
The dramatic video obtained by Reuters showed several officers released men from falling planes, which fell shortly after taking off in the Pacoima neighborhood, according to local media.
Officers and pilots are only a few meters away from the track when the train passes the plane.
“The plane has a failed takeoff and landing on the railroad at a popular intersection,” said Luis Jimenez, a 21-year-old music composer filmed the video.
“Only a few seconds before the impact of the police officer saved the pilot, and a piece of debris almost hit me.” The pilot is treated for cutting and bruising and stable conditions, according to local media.
There is no one on the wounded train, local media report.
The video recording posted on Twitter by the Los Angeles Police Department showed the footage of Bodycam officials who pulled the pilot bleeding from the aircraft.
The department was postponed its officers, said that in their tweets had “showed her heroism and quick action by saving the life of a pilot who made an emergency landing on the railroad track”.
