Moradabad: Three Workers and Police Police were killed and 18 others were injured in an accident involving a van and bus on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway here on Monday, officials said.
The accident took place near the village of Gannor Deya Mafi around 7 in the morning when a private bus hit Van Pilibhit-Bound, police said.
The witnesses on the accident said the accident occurred after the constabling signaled Van to stop to check bypass.
However, the bus crashed into a van, which in turn reached the police.
Three of the workers traveling in the van were killed while the police died in place, police said, added 18 others injured in the accident.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem and who were injured treated at the Upadhyay Dayal government hospital.
The Head of Medical Inspector Moradabad Rajendra Singh said those who died in the accident could not be identified immediately.
Two victims of severe injured accidents were called private hospitals, officials said.
