Erode: Special sub-inspectors and constable heads are transferred to the armed reserve on Sunday after receiving bribes through Google Pay.
SSI, Vadivel, 50, and Chandramohan, 46, who were on duty at the Asanur Chartpost near the Karnataka border on July 2, found two people carrying bottles of liquor bought in Karnataka in their car.
“Instead of taking bottles, the duo let the car pass the Chartpost after receiving bribes through Google Pay,” said a police officer.
Police District Supervisors V Sasimohan learned about the incident and ordered an investigation department.
