The police harassed the daughter for views online: Tripura BJP MLA

Agartala: A BJP MLA in Tripura on Sunday accused that the state government harassed his daughter, Anindita, to express independent views on social media.
He said the police recently landed at his home for a case that had nothing to do with him.
Arun Chandra Bhowmik, MLA for Belonia in South Tripura, said two female police officers from the East Agartala police station went to their homes and tried to question them without valid paper.
He agreed to work together, but told the police that the whole conversation had to be recorded before his father-in-law.
The police did not agree and left, said Bhowmik.
MLA is known to be close to CM Biplab Kumar Deb and BJP Top politician, while his wife is a Tripura High Court lawyer.
Anindita is a physiotherapist at Tripura Medical College (TMC).
He was suspended last year because of alleged violations that said Mla was completely wrong and made.
He questioned alleged bias against non-medical staff in TMC and misuse of funds and other irregularities.
The extension extended twice violates the rules of service and the problem is the sub-stitch, said MLA.
“The police have been sent to suppress it,” Bhowmik said.
Both opposition – CPM and Trinamool Congress – condemn Anindita Harassment.
