Noida: Ahead of the election of assembly at Uttar Pradesh next year, Gautam Budh Nagar police have begun to hold coordination meetings between countries with officers from Haryana and Delhi – both countries that share their borders with the district.
The meeting was being carried out to formulate a shared strategy and discuss the main issues related to law and order before the election of the State Assembly above.
According to senior district officials, several aspects related to joint patrols, set checkpoints on strategic roads (including non-motorized roads) and examine smuggling of liquor, arms, cash and medicines discussed.
“With the election of the State Assembly in the corner, we continue to hold a coordination meeting with American and District senior police officers bordering the city.
The meeting is being held to discuss the strategy to carry out peaceful elections,” said Police Commissioner, Gautam Budh Nagar.
He further stated that in the election process, a broad security plan was being prepared and the list of the most sought-after criminals, proclaiming offenders and parole liberation jumper with other countries and districts, has been distributed.
