Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh police are preparing for the second phase poll on February 14 when the sound will be thrown for 55 seats in nine districts.
Apart from the extra vigil by central forces and police, watches all the time will be stored on social media.
Special focus will be at eight sensitive constituencies in Bijnor, Sambhal and Saharanpur.
An official said the constituency was declared ‘sensitive’ if there was competition spoken between political parties, the existence of criminals, communal tensions and caste.
The sensitive constituency in Bijnor is Nagina, reserved for SC, Dhampar and Bijnor.
The focus will be in Deoband, Rampi Maniharan and Gangoh’s constituency in Saharanpur and Sambhal and Asmoli in Sambhal.
ADG, law and command, Prashant Kumar, said the extra power would be deployed in all pollickers in eight constituencies, while social media cells would store tabs on false information and inflammation pole.
ADG further said, “The C-Plan smartphone application will also be used to store tabs on anti-social elements by connecting 10 selected people to each village with the DGP control room.”
