The police returned the future of Agri Tribals in Maoist-hit G’chiroli

Nagpur: The police have turned to agricultural and agriculture techniques to have a relationship with the tribal population in Gadchiroli.
In the background of the effect of Maois Ebbing, the police are now trying to empower these tribes through agriculture to improve their economic conditions, which have become sluggish since the last 30 years due to rebel violence.
A group of police personnel, with a family background of agriculture or education in agriculture, has begun to reshape their departmental equation with tribes.
Launching the Composite Program ‘Krishi Samridhhi Yojana’, the police have begun to offer a variety of agricultural-based benefits and services to villagers since last year.
In addition to coordinating with government agriculture departments for various schemes, including free discounts and seeds, the police have begun to train and guide the tribal population, encourage them to replace their primitive agricultural techniques with modern methods on rice plants.
The police have also stepped over to develop nurseries to train villagers in agricultural engineering and give them free puppies.
Constable, which is trained or guided by officers who have agricultural knowledge, is involved in maintaining nurseries and guiding local residents to visit the place.
Dhananjay Patil Sub-Inspector, posted in a perimental police police from a farmer family in Sangli, has written a book in Marathi about agricultural techniques that are easy and use their own salary to print, publish it and distribute it among the local residents.
“During our grams of Bhets (village visit), I tried to encourage villagers to take on modern and scientific farming methods instead of their traditional practices that lead them,” said Patil, whose family has a substantial agricultural land in Sangli.
“The villagers only depend on one plant, if it fails, makes them empty at the end of the cycle,” he said.
Patil said the successful experiment last year to create a small agriculture of drums and distribution of 3,000 puppies to villagers had a paved road for greater this year.
About 15,000 puppies are produced and distributed to 500 farmers (30 respectively).
“We also help locals engage in fisheries and extend every possible assistance to them.
Our work with local residents on fisheries is already in perimental,” he said.
SP Ankit Goyal said the police were nodal agents to distribute government schemes and benefits arising from them.
“Our Krishi Samriddhi Yojana is part of a bigger project ‘Dadalora Yojana’ (single window system).
We create our own drumsticks nurseries that are considered expensive,” he said.
“Apple Custard nursery in Yelchil and one more papaya in the bamni in Sironcha has been going on from where we will train locals about how to grow these fruits and also distribute puppies and seeds,” he said.
Dig (Range Naxal) Sandip Patil said the tribal population itself can present who their actual friends and who mislead them.
“If Maois runs a parallel government, how much help they convey like a police to empower tribes and help them grow economically? From seeds to puppies and training to support, the police expand various assistance to local residents to ensure their agriculture increases,” he said ,
