Gurgaon: Three days after the murder of a 21-year-old migrant worker at Academy Badminton, the police said on Thursday they got important directions about Manjeet’s whereabouts, the main suspect from the academy owner.
Manjit is among the three mentioned in the FIR submitted after the death of Anuj Kumar, which was mistakenly identified by the 17-year-old badminton training participant in Academy as the hands of a motorcyclist who had been harassed and docked on Sunday and Monday.
The other two named in Fir are Manish, a coach, and punit, who manages the restaurant in the academy.
They have been charged under the murder, kidnapping and riots.
A senior police officer said Manish was originally not present at the Academy when Anuj and the other two were taken there and were contacted on Monday afternoon.
“We verify the fact.
It is not clear whether Manish was involved in the attack.
He will be arrested only if his involvement was established,” the officer said.
Police have not been able to access CCTV recordings from attacks because the defendant takes a digital video recorder with them.
A migrant worker, Sanjay, and contractor, Chandan, was also demonstrated along with Anuj when the group believed they were also involved in harassing the girl.
