Gurgaon: Floods with complaints that often experience accidents and vehicle disorders, Police of Imt Manesar set aside the police for several hours on Monday and take a shovel to fill holes in the imt industrial road – one of the busiest in the industrial area.
Stretch 1.5 km, connecting Manesar IMT with Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway (NH48), has developed a hole a few months ago, and the problem becomes worse for the past 2-3 months due to rain.
The deep crater on the arterial road, the police claimed, made it difficult for vehicles to move, leading to congestion and frequent traffic accidents.
Unable to obtain a positive response from the IMT Manual Industry Association and the other authority concerned after marking the problem, the local police decided to repair the road itself.
Yashwant Yadav Inspector, Station House Officer (Sho) from IMT Manesar, said, “After waiting for some time, we decided to fill the hole with our own hands.
One of my friends helped us with tractors and land hills, and the entire staff of the IMT Police Office Manesarally entered to fill the hole and level of the road.
“There were more than 100 holes in this layer of this road, Yadav said, added that the police team needed almost 2-3 hours to fill all the crater in stretching.
When approached, Pawan Yadav, President of the IMT Manesar industry association, said they had written to Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) for road carpets.
“They told us that the carpet would need approval and it would take time.
We raised this problem several times, but the authorities failed to act,” he said.
According to the President of the Association, all work done in the Manesar area was carried out of the amount of maintenance collected from the industry.
“Imt Manesar has a model and maintenance of independent carried out with funds collected from industry, even so, we must make the government’s offices to complete small jobs,” Yadav said.
HSIIDC officials cannot be contacted for comments.
