Coimbatore: Police Weber Rural has arrested a police officer from the Nawereri Police Station in the Tirunelveli District for harassing a police woman by telephone.
The captured COP has been identified as Ezhanatipandi, 27, the original population of the Tirunelveli district.
He was ordered below in Section 354 (a) (abuse and sexual punishment for sexual abuse) of the Indian criminal code, 66 (b) and 67 (a) of the Information Technology Act and Part 4 Prohibition of Tamil Nadu (TNPHW) harassment acting .
A police officer said Ezhanatipandi joined the police class II police at the coimbatore rustic armed police in 2018.
The Woman Cop, who was married, also joined the strength of the same year.
Both of them established relationships, the officer said.
Because of dissent, they separated and he moved to Tirunelveli while the woman went to live with her husband and children.
Ezhanatipandi recently began calling the female police and her husband who stated she had obscene photographs and would upload it on social media.
Unable to bear mental torment, the woman filed a complaint with a rural Cybercrime police.
The police registered the case against Ezhanatipandi and arrested him on Monday.
He was returned in Judicial custody at the same night.
Further investigation is active.
