The positive US Richardson sprinter test for cannabis, can lose the Olympics

Kingston: American Sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson has been tested positive for marijuana, the source has told Reuters, and he could not get the chance to challenge the 100 meter Olympics in Tokyo later this month.
According to one source familiar with this problem, a positive test came in the US Olympic trial last month where Richardson formed himself as a gold medal competitor by winning 100m in 10.86 seconds.
Positive tests during the trial means all the results of Richardson from the meeting will be removed, canceling his victory in the 100m final.
Another source familiar with the problem said that Jenna Prandini, who finished the fourth in the final, was approached to run for 100m in Tokyo.
Both sources request anonymity because of the sensitivity of the problem.
Calls and emails to Richardson agents, Renaldo Nehemiah, Anti-Doping (USADA) and U.S.A (USATF) pathways and fields are not answered on Thursday.
In the early cryptic tweet on that day, Richardson wrote: “I am human”.
The 21-year-old will appear on the NBC event today on Friday, the network was confirmed to Reuters.
Richardson was billed to run at 200m at the Diamond Stockholm League meeting in Sweden this weekend, but he was not in the entrance list for the official website of the meeting on Thursday.
Cannabis is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) but if athletes can prove that their substance consumption is not associated with sports performance, a three-month suspension is imposed four years.
If an athlete is willing to carry out an approved treatment program in collaboration with their national anti-doping body, the prohibition can be reduced to one month.
Texas aims to become the first American woman to win the 100 million Olympic degree since Gail Devers in 1996 after posting 10.72 seconds in April – one of the five times walked under 11 seconds this season.
The 30-day ban that was returned to during adverse results could make Richardson clear to compete in the 4x100m relay at the Olympics on August 6, if the USATF was chosen.
Richardson can also appeal to sanctions to the Arbitrage Court for sports (CAS), as well as other sports that feel the punishment is too soft.
