Noida / Ghaziabad: The power situation in the country “is the worst” during the government of the Jamajwadi Party, the Cabinet Minister Suresh Khanna said in Ghaziabad on Thursday.
The Minister joked that people would intentionally mention their daughter’s name “Bijli” so they could tell others that electricity was at home at night.
“During the SP government, people named their daughter Bijli.
When they will go home after playing, they will laugh that power finally returned,” he said at a press conference.
The Minister, MPs and other senior politicians held a news conference in all states to mark four and a half years the Yogi Aditentalath government.
They registered the government’s achievement and attacked the opposition.
The time of the incident, however, raises speculation that BJP has sounded a polling bugle – the election assembly in the upcoming state.
Asked about power rates which were considered high in residents, Khanna did not see wrong in it.
He said people pay for good service.
At Noida too, MP Mahesh Sharma attacked the previous government on electricity.
“We are a power surplus state, but the electricity supply can be increased many years ago.
The previous government was not ready to do it.
Now, Noida has almost 24 hours of the power supply,” he said.
MLA from Noida, Jewar and Dadri also attended a press conference and highlighted the achievement of the state government.
Nida residents often ask city power infrastructure.
Even after a light shower, blackouts were reported from several sectors.
Among the highlighted achievements is Noida International Airport and the city of film in gambling, data centers, logistics centers and dmic corridors that pass through Dadri.
MP also released a presentation, describing what districts have done in fields such as health care and control Covid, PM Beware of Yojana, Agriculture, the development of women and children, and so on.
Asked whether this was the beginning of the poll campaign, Sharma said it was only a celebration of government achievement.
In Ghaziabad, Khanna accused the farmers protesting the three laws “wrong direction” by opposition.
“The real farmers are with the government and are happy with the steps taken,” he said.
