The power of the central to deployed along the Assam-Mizoram border

NEW DELHI: Neutral central forces will be deployed along the border of Assam-Mizoram who are disrupted where five police officers and a civilian killed after a bloody clash recently, officials said Wednesday.
The decision was taken after a two-hour meeting chaired by the Secretary of the Union House Ajay Bhalla and was attended by the Secretary of Assam Jishnu’s Head and Director General of Police Bhashi Jyoti Mahanta and each Mizoram his colleague Lalnunmawia Chaiungo and SBK Singh.
The two state governments have agreed to the spread of neutral armed police forces (CAPF) on the border between countries that are disrupted along the national highway 306, said the Ministry of Home officials.
Neutral power will be ordered by a senior officer from CAPF.
In addition, to facilitate the function of troops, both the state government will address the arrangement in coordination with the United States Ministry in a reasonable period of time.
The Secretary of the House also told the Assam and Mizoram delegation that the two governments had to continue the discussion together to resolve the border problem in a friendly manner, officials said.
The Main Secretary and Police Chief Assam and Mizoram were called by the UNI Ministry of Home to resolve the ongoing border conflict between the two countries.
Then, talking to reporters, Head of Secretary Mizoram said the situation along the border between countries is currently peaceful and agreed in a meeting that everyone will try to maintain peace and there is no point in spoating violence.
State forces were withdrawn from the disputed area, he said.
Secretary of the Head of Assam said the CAPF would take over the responsibility of the border between countries.
The process of withdrawing the State Police Force was working on, he said.
Previously, other home officials said that the central government was concerned about border disputes which caused violence and death of six people.
The purpose of this meeting is to reduce tension, bring peace and may find a solution, the official said.
The Director General of CRPF also attended a meeting because the paramilitary force personnel were currently deployed in the Assam-Mizoram border area where high tensions, the official said.
Personnel five Assam and civilians were killed and more than 50 others including a police supervisor were injured when Mizoram police fired a shot on the Assam official team on Monday.
Barak District Valley Assam from Cachar, Karimanj and Hailakandi shared a 164 km border with three Mizoram districts in Aizawl, Kolastic and Mamit.
After the allegations of regional encroachment over the past few weeks and battles that increased tensions between the two countries, clashes of violence were reported along the border between countries which ended with the death of five assam police and civilians.
The incident occurred two days after Nion Ministers Amit Shah held talks with the main ministers of eight northeastern states and underlined the need to resolve lingering border disputes.
