New Delhi: President of RAM Nath Kovind, who is a visitor to the central universities, has agreed to the appointment of Chancellor’s Deputy in 12 Velsitas, according to the Ministry of Education officials (MOE).
“VC promises have been approved by the President for 12 central universities,” said an official Moe.
Newly appointed representatives including Tankeshwar Kumar (Central University of Hanyana), Prakash Bansal (Central University of Himachal Pradesh), Sanjeev Jain (Central University of Jhusan Das (Jhakhand Central University), Battu Satyanarayana (Karnataka Central University), Muthukalingan Krishnan (University Central Tamil Nadu) and basuthkar J Rao (Hyderabad Central University).

Kameshwar Nath Singh (South Bihar Central University); Prabha Shankar Shukla, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong; Alok Kumar Chakrawal (Ghasidas Teacher University, Bilaspur); Syed Ainul Hasan, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (Manu) and Lokender Singh, Manipur University.
Education Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday told Rajya Sabha that a total of 22 posts of Chancellor’s representatives at the Central Medicine University, where the appointment for 12 posts had been resolved by visitors.
10 universities, which are still operating without full-time Chancellor representatives, including Delhi University and Jawaharlal University Nehru.
