New Delhi: The price of domestic Petroleum Liquified gas (LPG) has been carried out by RS 25 with the effect of August 17, Ani news agency reported on Wednesday.
After the latest increase by petroleum companies, 14.2 kg LPG cylinders will now cost RS 859.50 respectively in Delhi compared to RS 834.50 before.
Previously on July 1, the price of LPG cylinders increased by Rs 25.50.
LPG prices are largely revised at the beginning of each month.
The price of cooking gas has increased by Rs 165 per cylinder in the past seven months.
Consumers must pay market prices and the government should provide subsidies to domestic consumers borne by subsidies.
However, subsidies were removed in Metros and major cities through consecutive price increases over the past few years.
For example, in Delhi, consumers have paid market prices without subsidy support.
