Begusarai: The police on Friday arrested the priest from the temple as the allegations of kidnapping small children.
The defendant, Chhotku Yadav aka Shyam Baba, has made the small boys in his captivity about two weeks in a village in the Shravasti District Uttar Pradesh.
A special police team from Begusai invaded the defendant’s hideout on Friday and saved the small children.
BEGUSAGI DSP (headquarters) Nisith Priya on Saturday said the boy was lost from his village 5.
“Because family members failed to track him, a kidnapping case was submitted with the Naokothi police station in Begusarai,” Priya said, adding Begusai SP Awakash Kumar then formed a Raid team Especially under Bakhri Sdpo Chandan Kumar to resolve this case.
“Electronic surveillance helped the police get the location of the priest and the boy was finally saved.
The boy’s father used to run a tea shop near the temple in the village.
