All body film producers have made a shared representation of the Cinematograph Act clearly expressed their dissatisfaction with a film re-certification by the Chairperson of the Central Certification Council.

The association was not happy with the fact that the amendment in the Cinematographic Law placed the veto power in the hands of the CBFC head directly under the influence of the central government and minister and or bureaucracy.
This, the association accused, contrasted with Shankarappa’s assessment by SC, where the highest judicial organization in the country states that no executive or government must have direct power on film certification and review.
But this amendment allows the center to review the film that has been certified and thus continuing the Constitution and Assessment of SC.
The association has appealed to the government and CBFC that they consider previous committees recommendations such as the Mudgal Report and Benegal Reports and restore the FCAT and dissolve new amendments to Cinematograph Law because these changes will affect the function of all parties involved, namely the central government, CBFC and filmmakers too.
