The proposed imprisonment of the FCI is likely to hit a rice factory in T’Gana

Hyderabad: The Food Corporation of India’s (FCI) plans to only buy rice that is good to influence the livelihood of around 10 lakh people in Telangana in the coming season.
Not only this, nearly 1,000 rice plants (handling rice parboiled) stares at the closure due to sidewalks – which tend to take effect since the following season – procurement of rice by the FCI.
After Telangana appeared, the government had aggressively encouraged rice cultivation, raising growth in the number of rice factories throughout the state.
According to rice mills, they will be left without choice but to close their units.
“Every rice factory directly employs 200 people.
There are around two lakh workers who are employed in all rice factories in the state.
As an indirect work in transportation and other relationships in rice production, eight other eight lakh works in various factories,” said Gampa Nagender, President of the Rice Millers Association of the State of Telangana.
The life of all these people is in Jeopardy, “said Gampa Nagender.
By stating that the rice plant will continue to operate this season because the promise of procurement has been given, Nagender, however, expressed concern for the future of several factories.
At present, the country has more than 3,000 factories Rice, with about 1,000 of them only handle rough rice.
While Telangana cultivates almost 1.6 crore tons of rice in Kharif and Rabbi season, 60 percent of this is a parboiled rice (which is partially boiled in the skin).
However, the FCI recently said Buying only 60 lakh tons of fine rice, thereby blocking the expectations of the factory and workers who deal with parebel rice.
After 2014, rice cultivation has risen 50 percent in the state and 250 new rice plants have emerged.
According to the source of industry, to regulate RS rice investment factory 15 Crore is required.
“With the daily operating costs of RS 1 Lakh, most of whom towards workers, have never been young h to run a rice factory, “said the factory owner in Miryalaguda.
During a recent review meeting chaired by CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, officials said that the future of the rice plant would be in danger if the FCI returned to the procurement of rice.
The state government pursues this problem with the union government after the FCI said it would only procure a limited rice.
“We pursue this problem with the central government.
Hopefully, some solutions can be found,” Mareddy Srinivas Reddy, chairman of Telangana State Civil Corporation.
