Surfside, Florida: Prosecutors in Florida will pursue a large jury investigation with the collapse of the construction of the ocean coast condominium, officials said Tuesday.
Miami-Dade County Daniella Levine Cava said at a press conference that she fully supported such an investigation.
Katherine State Lawyer Fernandez Rundle said he would bring this problem before the big jury.
“I will urge them to see it,” Rundle told Miami Herald.
“Do they do it or not, it’s fully their decision.” The large jury in South Florida has examined other large-scale disasters, such as the collapse of 2018 pedestrian bridges in Florida International University, which killed six people.
The investigation was ongoing.
Criminal charges in such things are possible, such as the murder of crime and third-level murder brought in 1996 accident accidents from Valujet 592 in Everglades which killed 110 people.
The Grand Jury investigation will examine the factors and decisions that lead to the collapse of Thursday for the South Tower of 12 floors in Surfside, killing at least 11 people and leaving 150 people who are countless.
