Mumbai: There is concern that intra-state travel and socializing in the seasons of the future celebration can encourage Covid-19 cases in the city and Mumbai Metropolitan areas.
Lakh people traveled to their hometown at Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, Satara, Kolhapur to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi.
Some of these districts still reported large quantities even as detection in Mumbai have dropped below 300.
Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli recorded more than 300-600 cases every day.
As far as vortions, the highest number of Delta-Plus cases that appeared had been found in Ratnagiri.
“If the appropriate behavior of Covid is not followed, the people traveling from the city can bring infection again,” said Dr Avinash Supe, former KEM Dean and Head of the Covid State Death Audit Committee.
“That’s the variant can enter the city too.
We have to be careful about traveling between sagines and ensuring that all Covid protocols are followed,” he said.
Dr.
Shashank Joshi, a member of the Taskforce State Covid, Kerala said also saw waves after the celebration.
“We must notice that the celebration is a public health challenge because there are churches and density,” he said.
“Furthermore, with Delta in transmission, infection can spread very quickly if prevention is not taken,” he said, urging people to celebrate at home as much as possible.
It is also impossible for any travel sidewalks for the celebration season.
“We are very monitoring the level of infection in Konkan – Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg – who see many trips from the Mumbai region during GanPati.
Also, district administration can be empowered to add local limitations if they see a surge surge,” said an official.
The additional Commissioner of Suresh Kakani said people could only be urged to be tested immediately if they developed symptoms.
He said Mumbai will use genome sequencing to track variants in people with a history.
Officials hope the guidelines for robbing the festival will be enough to rotate the Spirit.
They believe that further celebration restrictions will be complicated because most parties try to calm the original sentiment ahead of the BMC selection scheduled for early next year.
“There are many people from Conkan who choose in Mumbai and their sentiment in front of the election will be important.
The government must balance,” said an official.
A solution can allow people who are fully vaccinated to travel.
Or look for RT-PCR negative reports as mandated in air travel too, said Dr.
Rahul Pandit, a member of the task force.
