The Pune Forest Department Started the Open Mine Fence in Vetal Tekdi

Pune: Ten days after a 24-year-old man fell into 70 feet into an open mine in the vetal Tekdi in an attempt to save a cat, the Department of Forestry Pune has now started a job to secure the fence around him.
The aim is to prevent the recurrence of the accident.
“We put up a chain fence for a few meters and will also place the iron gate at the entrance to the mine to limit access to people.
So far, we have completed the excavation of the hole for the iron pole to support the chain fence.
The work will be completed in two weeks,” Sankpal Pradip, Range Forest Officer, told TII.
According to forest officials, the hill is a habitat of wild animals such as Indian foxes and forest cats.
Bird sightings like peacocks are also very common.
However, the decision to install the fence has not dropped well with regular pedestrians, visitors, and members of the Gymkhana DECCAN Pararis Samiti.
They say the forest fauna will not be able to access natural water sources.
They believe the authorities must choose a natural green fence, plant trees and bushes.
Sushma date, ordinary visitors and members of Samiti, said the accident was unfortunate, adding, “but not many accidents from this type take place here.
The Ministry of Forestry can maintain 12 hours to limit people from going to mine.
This will maintain an ecological balance in Up the hill.
“Rahul Patil, Deputy Forest Conservator, Pune Division, said,” We have considered all the views.
If people are not satisfied, we will talk to them again to overcome their problems.
Visitor security is also important.
