Following the CBSE decision to conduct council examination two, the Punjab School inspection board (PSEB) has also decided to have a bi-annual examination system for class V, VIII, X, and XII from the academic session of 2021-22.
The board plans to complete my term exam before December 23, if the Covid case is still under control.
In the latest developments, CBSE has asked students to only use pens to write their answers on OMR sheets.
According to the new test policy, the term I will consist of the objective question type MCQ from one sign of each while the term II only has subjective type questions.
The council still completes the distribution of signs for the term exam.
The sample question paper will be uploaded by PSEB immediately on its website, to help teachers guide students with new tests and question patterns.

About why PSEB has decided to take the examination of two terms, the chairman of the Board of Yograj reasons that this step aims to have another word of assessment that is ready.
“It is wise to have an alternative plan that is ready for our students’ academic assessment if there are unexpected situations.
In addition, the new test mode will help students get ideas for the OMR sheet-based test system because the majority of competitive checks are carried out in MCQ format,” Yograj said .
No overlapping syllabus
The Board decided not to repeat the syllabus for the I II exam and the term II.
“There will be no overlapping syllabus and the final result will be prepared based on the performance of students in these two examinations,” said Chairperson of Pseb.
He added that the board hoped to complete the first term examination before the winter holidays.
The final date will be announced soon.
Short window to complete the syllabus
Speaking of new assessment policies and challenges, Balwinder Kaur, Principal, BDS Day riding high school, Dharar, Amritsar, said that the decision to have a two-term exam should be taken before.
