Deb comment made at the press conference echoed a similar claim made by the head of Assam Minister Himanta Buswa Sarma.
The Chief of the Tripura Minister said, “It was a well-planned conspiracy to involve Khalistan terrorists by the Congress leaders to liquidate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which was revealed after surgery sting by the media.” He said, despite the reports of the threat of the life of the Prime Minister, there were no steps taken to avoid “security violations”, referring to the incident on January 5 when Cavalcade PM was forced to stop because the demonstrators who blocked the highway he traveled, to attend a general meeting political.
“There is no doubt that the conspiracy planned properly hatched by the government and the police, but the life of the prime minister was saved because of the 130 Crore Indians thanks”, said Deb.
Overcoming a press conference at the Civil Secretariat building, Deb said the blocking of the Cavalcade Prime Minister was not a sudden incident but a well-planned conspiracy was hatched by Congress leaders.
Citing media reports, he said the Punjab government was very aware of the protesters gathered along the route, but did not take any action to empty the place to provide a way for the evacuation of PM Modi.
PM Modi was caught in a 15-20 minutes on his way from Bathinda to Ferozepur on January 5 because of the blockade by protesters, which was seen as a security violation of the Prime Minister by Bharatiya Janata (BJP).
