Fresh investment made by the state government in opening 113 new universities seems to have fallen flat because there is no state government institution that exists up to 100.
Among the top 100 institutes – Bits-Pilani, Banasthali Vidyapith and Mnit Jaipur – ranked 29, 66 and 72, respectively.
While Bits-Pilani and Banasthali Vidyapith is a private organization, Mnit-Jaipur is a central government institution.
Likewise, IIT-Jodhpur, National Law University-Jodhpur and Aiims-Jodhpur, who have pocketed ranked in the top 100 in various categories, all regulated by the central government.
Only Mohan Lal Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, who was run by the state government, managed to get a place in the top 200 NIRF in the overall category and the pharmaceutical institute managing 67th rank.
The country’s largest institute – Rajasthan University – failed to get ranked this year.
