Hyderabad: Former Energy Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Wednesday alleged that it was caused by mismanagement and a large loan to buy power at a higher rate that the power utility in Telangana was pushed into a state of bankruptcy.
Overcoming the Congress Party Training Camp in Kompal, Shabbir Ali tried to warn the Government of TRS from burdening people with increases in large force rates to overcome losses.
There was a big power crisis in the country when Congress came to power in the middle and in the combination of Andhra Pradesh in 2004.
“As Minister of Energy, I was part of the unit of tasks formed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to add 1.58 lakh MW of power.
This task unit ensures The setting of several power plants throughout the country and currently almost all countries in this country are a surplus of power, “he said.
Except for Bhadradri power plants, the Government TRS did not add one unit of power plants in Telangana.
The Government TRS was able to provide a 24×7 power supply because the previous Congress had taken the construction of several electricity generation units, he said.
