Vadodara: While the government may have canceled RS 500 and RS 1,000 currency notes back in 2016, efforts to exchange this are still made even when the door for this has been closed again.
Panchmahal police have made other seizures from the currency stuffed on Saturday night.
Four people including two teachers were detained and questioned in connection with seizures.
Is a teacher who promises to exchange records that have been split with valid ones.
Teachers Nilesh Patel and Rangit Patel, both Lukhawada residents at Limkheda Taluka from Dahod District, have promised Badiya Ninama from Dahod that they will exchange notes.
The teacher’s duo will take the piece to do the job.
Ninama is to meet with teachers in Gadhchundadi Village near Godhra in Panchmahal.
He was on his way to Gadhchundadi along with one Rakesh Bhuriya in the SUV when he was arrested by the Branch of Local Crime Police Panchmahal who had received information about the currency.
The decorated currency is at Rs 48.8lakh is confiscated from the duo.
Nilesh and Rangit were also held near Gadhchundadi.
Police Sub-Inspector I A Sisodiya said that Bhuriya claimed that he was given a note by his brother.
Surprisingly is Bhuriya and his brother not involved in any business that will make black money.
Sisodiya said that they used to work at the construction site.
“The note will not be useful even for teachers because they will not be able to exchange it anywhere.
RBI has stopped doing so long,” Sisodiya said.
