SRINAGAR: The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday nominated by Nodal Officers with the Restriction Commission at the district level to provide timely information to IT and accept representation of stakeholders.
In a command issued by the Ministry of Public Administration, one officer has been nominated in each of the 20 districts of the workers’ territorial area for the liaison with the Commission, which wraps a four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Friday that interacts with the political parties and the district administration.
The order said the Nodal officer was responsible for helping deputy commissioners in providing timely information such as those sought by the Commission.
Nodal officers will receive representations of stakeholders to be submitted to the Commission and must also be responsible for other work such as those that can be assigned by commissions, orders are read.
On Friday, the restriction commission headed by Justice (Retd) Ranjana Prakash Desai concluded a four-day visit to J-K to collect “first hand” input on exercise behavior to redruct the constituency and carve a new one in UT.
Except for the Democratic Party of People and the National Conference of Awami, the Commission interacted with all political parties and officials concerned during a visit.
Justice (Retd) Desai has convinced exercises will be transparent and resolved by following the maturity process as referred to in law.
