Bengaluru: The vote count surveyed in the election of the Legislative Council on December 10 for 25 MLC seats will be taken on Tuesday.
The results of several seats may be delayed because preferential sound will play due to a strict contest.
Each candidate who secures 50 percent of the total valid votes plus one vote for the first preference will be chosen in the first round itself.
If that doesn’t happen, the calculation will begin for the sound of the second preference, and then the third, and the exercise can enter the second day.
However, the three political parties were optimistic about their prospects.
While BJP was eyeing victory at least 12 seats, Congress quoted numbers in the range of 9 to 11.
Meanwhile, JD hopes to win at least three to four seats.
At least 13 of the 25 seats must be won for the powerful party to get the majority in the upper house, while the Congress needs to plant at least 10 to 11 seats for good sightseeing.
JD (s), who has been looking to maintain its relevance at home above, requires a minimum of three wins to play “balancing” action on the board.
Meanwhile, all eyes will be in the battles of Triangle Beleagiah where Lakhan Jarkiholi from between Brother Jarkiholi, which has been contested as an independent candidate, is expected to play spoilsport for Congress or BJP.
