Rajkot: Devbhumi Dwarka District Revenue Officer, Nihar Bhetariya, was caught red-handed to take a bribe of Rs 3 Lakh from a farmer by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gandhinagar on Thursday.
According to the source, a farmer of the village of Palma has approached ACB with complaints against Bhetariya.
He alleged that Bhetariya was looking for Rs 3 Lakh from him for helping him get a license for firearms.
The farmer wants firearms to protect their agriculture from savage animals.
Sleuth ACB made a trap and attended the Bhetariya office as a local applicant.
As soon as the income officer received cash from the complainant, ACB Sleugga arrested him.
The ACB team also searched the house accused and took him to the Khambhaliya District Head Office where he was interrogated.
