Gurgaon: Residents of some housing communities in sector 85 to 95 have a terrible time traveling because of the dilapidated condition of the arterial statue.
The road connects the 10A sector to Garhi Harsaru and is widely used by occupants of these sectors to achieve other parts of the city.
Residents said the corporation of the city of Gurgaon (MCG) explored the way to put the sewer pipeline in Harsaru in August last year, but there was no repair work that had been done so far.
They accused that the MCG and the Department of Public Works (PWD) continued to give money to each other, while they continued to bear Brunt because they had been forced to travel through a damaged road for almost a year.
While there is a hole in a stretch of 7.2 km for years, using the road has become risky for commuters now because it is no longer motorized, they said.
Navdeep Wadhwa, an Ace Tulip 89 Sector 89, said: “The condition of the road has been sad and the locals have illegally installed speed breakers, making the problem worse.
It takes around 20 minutes just to go through the 500 m stretch of my community.
Some accidents have been Reported on the road.
“Some complaints have been carried out to the authorities concerned and local representatives but nothing is done to resolve the problem, residents said.
“Commuter on this road is a nightmare.
We have to drive very carefully, especially at night because there are no street lights.
When the road is widely used, we have faced the turmoil that often lasts for more than two hours,” JP Yadav, Residents of sector 89, said.
When contacted, Local MLA Rakesh Daultabad said he had spoken with the authorities concerned to resolve this earliest problem.
“I have taken a problem with MCG officials.
The tender process is ongoing and the work will begin soon,” he said.
PWD officials said they had written to MCG to repair damage caused during laying the sewer.
“The corporation needs to do restoration work,” said an official.
Meanwhile, a MCG official said, “We have floated tenders and restoration jobs will be done soon.”
