Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch Team will visit Mumbai immediately for further investigation into the case of espionage in Drdo, Ballasore where the alleged role of women other than Pakistan has emerged to the surface.
The move was followed after rabrak crime crime found a bank transaction, which was made for the account of one of the five defendants to catch the accusation of spying and tried to divulge sensitive defense information.
Of the five captured, four were used to work on the foundation of the launch of the DRDO integrated test ranges in Chandipur.
CB, however, said it had not confirmed whether he was the same woman who trapped five which led to their arrest.
“We have led in terms of bank transactions made by one of the ITR employees who were arrested to a woman, who had been traced to Mumbai.
The number of Rs 40,000 was stored in a bank account opened in Mumbai on April 18.
The next day, the same number was sent Returning to an ITR employee in the SBI branch in Chandipur, Ballasore.
The woman might do this to win the trust of the defendant, “Sanjeeb Panda, an additional director General (Crime Branch), said.
The top CB official adds that it is possible that the same woman, who turns five employees to spill defense secrets, operate through various accounts.
“Because Mumbai connection has been deep, the team will truly investigate this problem and identify the woman, which is still difficult to understand,” he said.
Previously, it came to CB notification that women’s spies used several Facebook accounts that were being handled from Pakistan.
