Cairo: The air strike by a coalition forces led by Saudi in the capital of Yemen Sanaa killed 14 people, according to the initial estimate, while digging through debris continuing, residents told Reuters on Tuesday.
The Saudi Led Alliance carried out an attack on Sanaa Houthi held by Yemen, after the attack by rebels in the United Arab Emirates.
The coalition also said intercepted eight drones launched for Saudi Arabia on Monday.
One of the air strikes in Sanaa hit the house of a former military official, killed him, his wife, his 25-year-old son, other family members and some unknown people, a medical source and residents told Reuters.
The Houthi Group that is in line with Iran Yemen said that the saudi-led coalition attack in the residential neighborhood in Sanaa initially left 12 dead people including women and children, injured 11 and destroyed five houses, the main television news outlets reported by Al Masirah TV.
Yemeni troops supported by the United Arab Emirates have joined the coalition forces fighting the Houthi movement around the city of Marib.
